Take a look at my frisbee video!!!
Sky Oct. 17
Hey guys! I had a great weekend visiting with some CBBCR folks-- they threw the frisbee for me a bunch, for real! I also heard them say how good I was about not barking-- I prefer to stay a little more on the quiet side. There were some cats there, but I didn't mess with them-- I was having too much fun!
Your friend,
Sky

Isn’t she beautiful! If you think her pictures are good, you should see her in person. She is a very pretty girl, about 3 years old and a full of energy.
Sky’s world has been a little unsettled lately. She was living in a home and had to leave it because of unfortunate circumstances. Everything she was familiar with is gone and that has confused her a little, so she is playing a lot of Frisbee to help compensate for that and to relieve the tension of all the changes in her life. AND because SHE LOVES PLAYING FRISBEE! She always brings it back too (I love that!).
Sky knows her basic commands, sit, down, drop/leave it, come, stay…..okay, stay isn’t great, but we are working on that and we are working on “wait.” She walks well on lead and we were told she used to run with her former owner. She is very intelligent and she is active. She is good in the house, but she does not settle very often or for very long; we are not sure if this is because of her energy level or her tension over the change in living conditions. She is getting a little better and we think it might be more the tension, but she is a girl who likes to be “doing” and might not ever get good at “settling.” She has not chewed anything, not even rawhides, and has never had an accident. She mainly just has trouble settling down and we usually end up playing a little catch, working on commands, and just getting her to feel comfortable with us.
She had been an only dog who lived with two cats, and now she is a one of three dogs with only one cat. She is very good with the cat and the cat has been comfortable with her from the first, so I think it we can call her good with cats. She is not sure about the dogs yet; it seems she did not have much interaction with other dogs in her previous life. She is not afraid or dominant with my dogs, just not sure how to be with them. In the past day or two she has started showing signs of wanting to play, but she’s just not sure how to get involved.
She met my 4 year old nephew the other day, a brief encounter, but it seemed like she was very taken with him, so I think she would be okay with children too. We will explore that topic further in the near future.
Sky is an intelligent girl. We think her of her as an active dog, and she will need a lot of exercise every day. Along with the exercise she will need mental stimulation, which can include continued training, teaching her tricks, playing games, finding a job for her to do around the house, agility . . . and the list goes on. She loves to be outside especially if there is a Frisbee flying through the air. If you believe that one of the most beautiful things in the world is sunlight glistening on the spit flying off the Frisbee as you fling it through the air, then you should check out Sky. She is as nice as she is beautiful, and she’s looking for a loving, active home.

Sky is a charming, 3 year old female, purebred Border Collie, tri color with a split face. Her foster mom says she’s a very, very nice girl - intense and active but not crazy intense. She is friendly, but not overly. She so wanted me to throw the tennis ball for her but she was polite and waited -- if I took too long, she would nose the ball closer to me and when it was longer than she wanted, she politely placed the ball in my lap. Sky ignored my big black male, Luke - allowed him to sniff her but otherwise didn't pay a bit of attention to him. She lives with 2 cats and knows sit, down and stay.
