Update:
Sadie continues to amaze with her zest for life and enthusiasm for learning. She is a strong, active girl who loves to play but also loves to snuggle and rest.

She is a beautiful tri color Border Collie with luxurious fur and gorgeous markings. Sadie is spayed, has an estimated birth date of 04.02.2023, is tall and weighs about 44 pounds. She is friendly, curious, affectionate, active and boisterous; she will make someone a perfect companion.

Sadie loves meeting and playing with dogs. She attended day care and in her current foster
home lives with two Border Collies. She does exhibit herding instincts with one of the dogs.
Sadie does well in a crate but is trusted now and not crated (although only allowed access to
limited areas when no human supervision). She is an incredibly easy house dog who loves
going outside, even in the cold, snowy weather, playing in the fenced yard, running on the golf
course or just walking. She sometimes forgets to look where she is running, so be careful!

Sadie will benefit from and requires training for basic commands (although she loves to sit for
treats), walking on a leash, recall. Her food motivation is high and training should be easy.

She
is very attracted to squirrels and deer and will pull on her leash or bark when she sees them.

Sadie is a smart girl and is learning how to listen to direct her attention away from distractions.

She rides well in the car, absolutely loves being brushed, allows handling when being wiped off
with a towel or getting dressed in her winter jacket. She has never tried to jump the yard fence,  but a fence would be required because she is not yet trained off leash.

Sadie would do best as a single dog with access to other dog playmates or with another
playful dog since she can be annoying with an older or less playful dog. Sadie is an amazing
girl who deserves lots of love, hugs, training and patience She was surrendered to CBBCR and  is being fostered in Long Beach IN.
