Shin

Hi! This is Shadow. His name when we adopted him was Shin. He has lived with us for almost 2 years already and adds quite a bit of excitement. He loves to travel. In the two attached pictures, he is watching a shadow on the ceiling of our car. He is a great addition to our family. Brian and Mindy, Illinois

Sonny
Sonny

He is doing just fine. I have attached a few pictures from his recent visit to my work. He likes it here (is it just me he wants??) throwing the ball over acres of dirt! Sniffing more (reading the doggie news) when we walk. Loves that frizbee. That’s the only thing he thinks about. Sleeps most days in MY bed, then energizer bunny comes out after work. He won’t sit with me while I am on computer at home…lies in my bed or at the top of the stairs waiting for me to come out of the office. We are now working on our basement walls and he sits down there with me while we work. He was shedding profusely Aug/Sept, wound down in October. Is this normal? I thought he would put his winter coat ON in the fall, not shed it. It was all his undercoat. Then I thought because he is kept indoors, he won’t shed like this every year since he doesn’t spend hours upon hours outdoors.

Skipper
Skipper

All is going well with us and Skipper. He has been an excellent dog and so different from our previous dog. That is good so we don't compare them since they like different things. He loves chasing balls, tug, and belly rubs. Our other dog loved frisbee. Skipper just shakes the frisbee like an alligator in a death roll. Tom is thinking about joining an agility class with Skipper this spring after his busy time is over at work. We did the clicker class last summer with him. We call the clicker the dog remote and our neighbors saw why Sunday during the Super Bowl. He became much more calm and attentive since it was time to work. He has never had an accident in the house or chewed anything of value. He finally got over his hesitation to get in the car this Fall. In fact, he runs in circles to the door when we put on our coats and pick up the car keys. The other night he had quite the dilemma choosing between waiting to eat his food my daughter was preparing or going in the car with Tom. Skipper ran back and forth between the two of them and finally decided the food was better. Looking at Papa's picture, I remember that sad look on Skipper's face. Skipper has lost that look in his eyes. He still has a few odd quirks that make us wonder about his earlier days. He backs away from any objects with a long handle like rakes, brooms, and even yard sticks and wrapping paper rolls. He also turns away from cameras. He has adopted our family and looks quite happy.
